The “Kokudaka Project” in Nishi-Aizu Town, Fukushima Prefecture—a scheme designed by Questree to protect farmers in mountainous and hilly regions where maintaining production efficiency is difficult—has entered a new phase.
As reported in the Japanese edition of Newsweek, this initiative is a groundbreaking system that utilizes blockchain technology to manage contributions to agricultural work and pre-purchases of rice as digital assets.
A dedicated app has now been released, allowing users to earn Ishiko points and aim to advance from “Peasant” to “Daimyo,” accelerating the creation of a new “support community” for farmers through gamified engagement.
We are redefining the traditional mutual aid of local communities for the modern era through the power of technology, paving the way for a sustainable future in agriculture.
